Operations Officer

UK

Description

Hi, I'm Tukiya. I started Pomi and Seeds because I was frustrated with how unsustainable and non-inclusive the lingerie is. I am now on a mission to redefine the way women shop, wear and care for their lingerie! Our longer term vision is to expand into athleisure and men's ethical basics too.

The Seeds in our name symbolises our commitment to nurturing communities and having transparent and ethical supply chains, planting seeds of change in our industry. In 2024 we will be donating a % of proceeds to a women's maternity clinic in a rural part of Zambia and domestic violence shelter in London.

We are currently on the Evo Fashion Programme and just completed the 2023 London School of Economic Generate Accelerator Programme and are still involved in the alumni community. We were on the 2022 Barclays Black Founder Programme and are part of this alumni group, we also received a fully funded Innovate UK Design Thinking Programme place in 2022. We are currently on the Innovate UK High Growth Programme, and are currently being supported by a Barclays Bank Mentor bi-weekly. We expect at least 2 new grants this year including one from Innovate UK. We are a super ambitious startup and our values are Humility, Excellence and Integrity. Our product range for lingerie is ready for manufacture and we have a manufacturer in Wales and are currently sourcing one in Portugal. We are in the early stages of design for our atheleisure range.

As an Operations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our commitment to providing beautiful, comfortable, and durable lingerie while championing inclusivity, sustainability, and positive societal impact. You will have the opportunity to lead in your role, grow with us, work in a creative startup environment and be part of the UK startup business scene. Joining us means being part of a team with a mission to change lives.

As the Operations Officer, you'll take charge of the entire product supply chain, overseeing everything from material selection and manufacturing to delivery, returns, and potential recycling processes. With manufacturing hubs in Wales and Portugal, and a primary focus on the UK market, your role is pivotal in our journey.

We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in supply chain operations within retail, fashion, food and drinks, or product industries. If you're driven by quality, customer satisfaction, and are passionate about building a diverse and sustainable supply chain, we want to hear from you. Your role isn't just about operations; it's an opportunity to contribute to a brand that's changing the game in lingerie while making a positive impact on the environment and underserved communities.
