Co-Founder (Product / Technical)

London only

Description

Independent restaurants are under pressure — rising costs, fragmented tools, thin margins, and systems that weren’t built with them in mind.

Juna is a fintech venture built to change that.

We’re building a fintech platform for the hospitality sector that solves a core operational and financial headache for small-to-medium restaurants, while laying the foundations for a flywheel-powered, self-improving ecosystem that benefits both operators and consumers over time.

This is early-stage, high-trust, high-impact work and we’re looking for a co-founder who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.

The Role: Co-Founder (Product / Tech)

This role is for someone who enjoys starting from a blank page and shaping something real. You’d be working closely with me to take Juna from a funded idea to a product used by real restaurants, owning the technical and product decisions, and helping define how the platform grows and learns over time.

If you enjoy:

  • starting from a blank page
  • making smart calls with incomplete information
  • building systems that learn and improve with scale

you’ll feel at home here.

Who This Is For

You don’t need hospitality experience. You do need an ownership mindset and strong judgment. You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have built and shipped complex products end-to-end
  • Are comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast without perfect answers
  • Think like a founder: pragmatic, commercial, and user-driven
  • Are AI-literate by default and actively use modern tools to accelerate development and insight
  • Want real influence, not just a title

Industry experience: Hospitality or fintech experience isn’t required. Strong builders from unexpected paths are welcome, if this sounds like you, let’s talk.

Language: Fluent English

What’s Already in Place

  • Initial funding secured
  • Clear problem definition and product direction
  • Founder with prior fintech experience (consumer lending)
  • Long-term ambition for a scalable, self-improving platform

My first venture was a fintech in the consumer lending space which I scaled to profitability. This time, I’m intentionally building closer to the real economy, where the problems are messier, but the impact is tangible.

Why Juna Exists

Restaurants sit at the centre of community life, yet the infrastructure around them is often extractive, fragmented, or poorly designed.

Juna is about:

  • Supporting restaurants that are struggling but essential
  • Building infrastructure that actually works for operators
  • Owning and improving the operator ↔ consumer relationship over time

A Note From Me

I’m looking for a genuine co-founder to build this alongside me. If that resonates, let’s connect.

While an equal partnership (50/50) is ideal, I’m open to flexible equity + salary arrangements where helpful, with a minimum equity stake of 20%.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Skills: Proven ability to build and ship complex products end-to-end, taking ownership from blank page to real users Founder mindset Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making high-judgment decisions quickly with incomplete information AI-literate by default. Able to use modern AI tools and models to accelerate development, inform decisions, and build learning systems that improve with scale
  • Experience: Zero industry experience may be good enough. Let's talk.
  • Language Requirements: English (fluent)
  • Equity: Equal Partnership
  • Weekly Hours: >24h
