The technical opportunity

Automation is central to how we deliver our service at scale. We've already built a working beta of our scouting system and completed the full technical specifications for an enhanced version. We're now looking for a hands-on CTO to take ownership of that build. You’ll also have the opportunity to help shape the long‑term strategy alongside the existing co‑founders, with a strong possibility of the role becoming full‑time if the company meets its growth ambitions.

You'd be coming into a functioning business with real clients, a defined product vision, and a founding team that knows the domain inside out. We've done the hard work of defining what we need, but we're not looking for someone to simply execute a brief. We want a senior technologist who'll interrogate that spec, bring their own thinking to it, and ultimately own it. This is your system to shape and build — not a contract job.

What you'll be working on

• Review, pressure-test and refine the existing technical specification, bringing your own expertise and judgment to bear
• Rebuild/enhance the scouting platform from beta to full production
• Lead ongoing technical architecture and team as we scale

We're looking for

Someone who loves football first and brings serious technical depth to match.

You'll need expert-level skills across artificial intelligence, data scraping, machine learning, and UI/UX design, and a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions end-to-end. Ideally you've held a senior technical leadership role before and are comfortable being the decision-maker on architecture and build strategy.

Familiarity across Python, cloud infrastructure, modern web frameworks, and ML libraries would put you in good shape — though we're more interested in how you think and build than ticking every box.
